Joanne G. Hopkins, 87, of Bellaire, Ohio passed away peacefully September 4, 2015 in Shadyside Care Center.

She was born January 7, 1928, a daughter of the late Cassell Latham and Bertha Kleber Latham Taylor.

Joanne was a former employee at the Bellaire Clinic and a homemaker. She was a member of South Bellaire United Methodist Church and the women's Bible study, where she created lifelong friendships. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; family meant everything to her, especially the grandchildren, who called her "Mums." She was a friend to all, helping anyone she could. In her spare time, Joanne enjoyed hand-painting watercolor cards for the special people in her life. Her greatest joy of all was sewing Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls, and if you were fortunate enough to receive one, they were stuffed with the love she had in her heart. She filled the room with sunshine every time she laughed or smiled, and she was truly a child at heart.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Latham.

Surviving are her husband whom she married on June 24, 1949, Samuel R. Hopkins; her three daughters, Susan (Stanley) Kaldor of Jacobsburg, Jill (Craig) Allen of Bellaire, and Robin (Don) Tranovich of Bellaire; her son, Jonathan Hopkins of Clarksburg, West Virginia; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Heather (Chris) Hotlosz-Pieratt and son, Trent; Grant (Rebecca) Allen and children, Landon, Makenna, and Ellery; Garrett (Jeanette) Kaldor and son, Gage; Tyler Allen; Chase (Brittany) Kaldor and children, Creed and Sloane; Kalynne Hopkins; Klint Hopkins; and Olivia Tranovich. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Nancy Pressler and family and Joyce Latham and family.

Private Services were held at the convenience of the family at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
