Joan Elizabeth Spano, 72, of Midway, Ohio died February 10, 2021 in Forest Hill Care Center, St. Clairsville.

She was born February 5, 1949 in Fairpoint, Ohio, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Jaskowiak.

Joan was a retired housekeeper from Days Inn in St. Clairsville. She enjoyed her family, Bingo and gambling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John James Spano Sr. and a sister, Anna Shaffer.

Surviving are her three children, John (Cindy Staskey) Spano Jr., Jeanne (Jeff) Mottle, and Joy (Tim) Strahl; four grandchildren, Janessa Mottle, Jarrett Mottle, Janelle Robson, and Paul Graham; two great grandchildren, Aubri and Ezlynn Robson; a brother, John (Pat) Jaskowiak; and a sister, Jeannie DeFrank; several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Joan's wishes there will be no public services held.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
