Frew, Sr., Gerald Douglas Jerry, 76 of Barnesville, Ohio died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at OVMC, Wheeling.

He was born at St. Clairsville, Ohio on August 2, 1934 a son of the late John Wesley Frew and Mary Dickerson Frew.

Jerry was an Ironworker with Local 549 at Wheeling and a member of East Richland Friends Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Frew, Jr. and a sister, Beverly Grimes.

He is survived by a son, John W. (Lynda) Frew of Flushing; his loving companion, Karen Jarvis, her son Mark (Krista) Jarvis of Bridgeport and their children Kelsey and Jacob; a sister, Nancy (Bill) Bethel of St. Clairsville; brother-in-law, Bill Grimes of St. Clairsville; grandchildren Cassie Frew, Shana Frew, Jeff Stiles, Michelle Stiles and Jesse Burian; a great grandson, Jonathon Porter and four nephews.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in the Richland Cemetery, at East Richland.
