Jerome Lee "Bud" Bruce, 78 of Belmont, Ohio formerly of Neffs, Ohio died Friday, April 20, 2007 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling.

He was born May 9, 1928 in Glencoe, Ohio, a son of the late Lew Bruce and Zella Bumgardner Bruce.

Bud was a loving husband and father, a retired employee of Block Brother?s Tobacco in Wheeling, an Air Force veteran, a bluegrass fan who loved playing the mandolin, guitar, and banjo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Corrina Wright.

Surviving are his loving wife, Juanita Dallas Bruce; children, Vickie (James) Morrison of Jacobsburg, Nancy Ivkovich of Dilles Bottom, Gerald (Darlene) Bruce of Bannock, and Georgia Ann "Babe" Newman of Glendale; step children, Mary E. (Herb) Vance of Hardeeville, SC., and Walter "Scott" McMahon and his fiancée Rhonda Satterfield of McMechen; a sister, Doris (Don) Snively of Newark, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Darla Schnegg officiating. Burial follows in Glencoe Cemetery.

Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct services at 10:45 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
