Jerilyn Annette Bogart Rice, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV. She was born July 31, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Wilbur and Myrtle Thompson Bogart. Jerilyn was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a Norwood High School graduate and attended the Ohio State University where her brother John introduced her to her future husband, William Rice. They were united in marriage in 1952. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Rice; a grandson, Ronnie Rice; two brothers, Donald and John Bogart; a sister, Jean Leaver. Surviving are her five children, Earl J. (Sharon) Rice of Van Wert, Ohio, Brett (Tamara) Rice of Vermont, Jennifer (Marc) Jackson of St. Clairsville, Melanie (Greg) Eaton of St. Clairsville and Suzanne (David) Jebbia of Wheeling, WV; a sister, June (Roger) Pfeil of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Powell and Pat Bogart; 19 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 12:30 P.M. until time of Memorial Service at 1:30 P.M. at East Richland Friends Church, St. Clairsville, with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio State University Hospital or charity of the donor's choice.
