Hepburn, Jenny, 84, of St. Clairsville, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009 in Country Club Retirement Center, Bellaire. She was born in Martins Ferry on June 8, 1924, daughter of the late James and Jenny Garth Irwin.

Jenny was a homemaker; a former operator for Ohio Bell; a member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church in St. Clairsville; former Vice-Regent of the Daughters of American Revolution; a member of the Wheeling Garden Club; the Wheeling Women?s Club; Questers; Shadyside Four Leaf Clover Club and a member of Shadyside Chapter 581, Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilfred Hepburn; a daughter, Joyce Clark; a grandson, Drake Clark; 3 sisters, Ellen Ritchey, Mary Kennon and Alice Smith.

Surviving are her daughter, Katherine Sonion of Shadyside; six grandchildren, Crispin and David Donahue, Tracey May, Matthew Sonion, Robin Sexton and Chandler Clark; and 9 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Wenger and Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
