Grace Virginia "Jenny" Brendel, 63 of Manassas, Virginia formerly of St. Clairsville died Thursday, September 13, 2007 in Manassas. She was born July 16, 1944 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Harry Oscar Busby and Marguerite Olive Morgan Busby.

She was the former director of group homes for Alternative Residences II and Rescare in St. Clairsville, a member of the Disabilities Services Board in Manassas and a member of Saint Andrews Catholic Church in Clifton, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth P. Brendel in July, 2003.

Surviving are her loving son, Kevin Patrick Brendel and his wife Patricia Ann of Manassas Park, Virginia; one sister, Judith Kay Busby of Rocky River, Ohio.; a half brother, Kenneth Busby of Hemet, California. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren, Kyle Paul and Kelly Patricia Brendel both of Manassas Park, Virginia.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst with Monsignor Mark Froehlich the celebrant.

Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
