Nester, Jennie (Kocsis), 88, of St. Clairsville, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born February 4, 1920 in Elm Grove, West Virginia, daughter of the late Julius and Agnes (Vasary) Kocsis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Nester; a grandson, Michael A. Evonek; two sisters, Yerma Naples and Elizabeth Summers; five brothers, Julius and Eugene Kocsis, Joseph, Louis and Carl Gorza.

Surviving are her children, Michael C. (Sandy) Nester of St. Clairsville, Gary G. (Penny) Nester of St. Clairsville, Yolonda L. (Mike) Evonek of Bellaire and Anthony L. (Denise) Nester of Morristown; a sister, Margaret Pope of Flushing; two brothers, Frank and Edward Kocsis both of California; seven grandchildren, Todd Nester, Stephanie (Nester) Connors, Robert Evonek, Lori (Evonek) Orr, Melissa (Nester) Porter, Christopher Nester and Jason Nester; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
