Jeannine Lois Smith, 78, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital.  She was born November 20, 1942 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas Russell Shaw and Ruth Frances Boyle Shaw.

Jeannine was a retired trauma nurse at EMSTAR.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, where she was a member of the bible study group.

In addition to her parents, Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Smith in 2008; infant son, Steven Craig Rauschenberg.

Surviving are her children, Christine (Rick) Kuhar of St. Clairsville, Steven Smith of New Athens, OH., Jamie (Holly) Rauschenberg, Richard Vannest and Diane Campbell all of St. Clairsville; a brother, Thomas James Shaw of Warnock, OH; a sister, Joyce (Edward) Chambers of St. Clairsville; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are required.

Private visitation was held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 10-11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Clairsville where Funeral Liturgy with Mass was celebrated at 11 am with Father Thomas Chillog as celebrant.  Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, West Virginia.

Arrangements were entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
