Jay C. Herrlein Jr., 59, of Bethesda, Ohio died June 3, 2019 in OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.

He was born March 4, 1960 in Wheeling, WV, a son of Jay C. Herrlein Sr. and Sandra Burns Herrlein Dierkes.

Jay was a pharmacist having worked most recently for Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia.  He was a 1978 St. Clairsville High School graduate, and a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Pharmacy in 1991.  Jay was devoted to motocross and traveled the country with his son.

Surviving in addition to his mother and father, Sandra Dierkes and Jay Herrlein Sr. are his loving wife of 31 years, Peggy A. McElwain Herrlein; his son, Daniel Herrlein; two sisters, Jill Herrlein of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Joy Herrlein of St. Clairsville.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio where services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
