Jay D. Griffith, 55, of Bellaire, OH died Friday, December 11, 2020 at his home.  He was born October 28, 1965 in Wheeling, WV a son of Wilda V. Hill Griffith and the late Brock O. Griffith.

Jay was a front line cook for Eat & Park Restaurant, St. Clairsville and a member of South Bellaire United Methodist Church.  Jay was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Martins Ferry Purple Riders and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Surviving are his mother, Wilda V. Hill Griffith of St. Clairsville, OH; his wife, Wendy Rinkes Griffith; two daughters, Megan Griffith and Emily Griffith all of Bellaire; siblings, Janet Griffith of St. Clairsville, Denise (Phillip) Capalingo of Bridgeport, OH, Robert (Kiria) Griffith of Martins Ferry, OH and Gary (Jennifer) Griffith of Cadiz, OH; four grandchildren, Melissa Schau, Gaven Schau, Douglas Schau and Jason Schau; five nieces, three nephews; one great niece and two great nephews.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Funeral Services held at 7 pm with Pastor Robert Griffith officiating.  Final arrangements at the convenience of the family.
