TOMOLONIS, Janice Lee, 75, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, went to meet the Lord on November 7, 2011 at Liza's Place, Wheeling, West Virginia, surrounded by her family.
She was born at the home in Glencoe, Ohio, the daughter of the late William Edgar and Stella (Yoblonski) Jeffers. Janice was a graduate of Bellaire High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ellen Jeffers and Yvonne Jeffers Goff.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Michael Everett Tomolonis, Sr.; two daughters, Darlene Kolanski and her husband Kevin of St. Clairsville, Sharon Whims and her husband David of East Liverpool; a son, Michael Everett Tomolonis, Jr. and his wife Mylene of California; six grandchildren, Megan, Breann, Mary Beth, Emily, Micah and Michael; as well as sisters Shirley Grodhaus- Ashby of Columbus, Mona Kennedy of Delaware, Ohio, Donna Albus of Stewartsville, Gloria Jean Selmon of VanWert, Ohio, Connie Saffell of Glencoe, Colleen Marcantonio of Columbus; brothers Ronald Jeffers of Warnock, Terry Jeffers of Neffs, William Jeffers of St. Clairsville, Brice Dale Jeffers of Glencoe, and Gary Jeffers of Florida; and over 34 nieces and nephews.
Janice was a very caring person who enjoyed and focused on family. Her favorite hobby was as a seamstress.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Statler officiating. She will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
