Janet Lucille Combs, 77, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at her home.  She was born September 24, 1946, in Erin Tennessee, a daughter of the late George William and Ada Lucille Suggs Griffin, Sr.

Janet was a retired office manager for facilities planning and management of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and a member of Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, Tennessee.  Janet enjoyed reading, special music and loved to travel with her husband.  Her favorite joy was spending precious moments with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Margaret Griffin-Turner.

Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years, Donovan L. Combs of St. Clairsville; two daughters, Kimberly Jan Underwood of St. Clairsville and Gretchen Lee Kessler of Wheeling, West Virginia; a brother, George W. (Betty) Griffin, Jr. of Clarksville; a sister, Claire Elizabeth (Edward) Coulter of Kingsman, Arizona; five grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Peluchette, Morgan Paige McNeil, Jackson Donovan Kessler, Hastings Jefferson Kessler and Griffin Henry Kessler; three great grandchildren, Audrey Grace McNeil, Chandler Lee Peluchette and Collins Blair Peluchette.

As per her wishes, no visitation or services are planned.
