Janelle Lynn Nardo, 49, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at her home. She was born January 3, 1974, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Sam Zavacky and Linda L. Cheroka Zavacky.

Janelle graduated from St. Clairsville High School and Ohio University. She spent the last twenty-five years selflessly serving others in her work at Job and Family Services with the last 12 years in the division of Child Protective Services. She touched many lives over her years of service.

Janelle was Presbyterian by faith and attended Calvary and First Presbyterian Churches in St Clairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Dominick Nardo, mother-in-law Wanda Welch (Nardo) and sister-in-law Nicole Nardo.

Surviving are her husband Nick A "Tony" Nardo; sister Lynette (Jon) DeBertrand; grandmother Kathryn Zavacky; aunt Ruth Kolanski; father-in-law Dan Nardo; sister-in-law Angel Nardo; brothers-in-law Sean (Anne) Arno and Jack (Lori) Nardo; nieces and nephews Jacob DeBertrand, Tristan and Nick Arno, Kaylee Baker, Tre Bogetich, Joey, Jacob and Jessica Nardo: special children to her Donnie, Nick and Isabella Falbo as well as many special friends and co-workers.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. with Rev. Erica Harley officiating.
