WOODWARD, James B., 72, of Ellenton, Florida passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2014.

He was born in Albany, New York on June 27, 1941, son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Woodward.

Jimmy was raised in Clarksville, New York and attended Bethlehem Central High School. He retired from the State of New York as an engineer working on the Capitol buildings. During his life Jimmy gave selflessly of his talents to family, friends and neighbors. He never met a stranger.

Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Sunshine (Mabel) Rodgers Woodward; a daughter, Jennifer (Larry) Ooi; a son, Derek (Stacey) Woodward; sister, Ann (Larry) Gepfert; brother, Robert Woodward; stepchildren, David Brown, Peggy (Harvey) Wells, Paula Metze, Patti (Kevin) Mallia, Anne Cotrona, Carol Simons-Couture, Donald Simon; grandchildren Christopher and Kevin Ooi and Caitlin Woodward and many step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepchildren David and Gail Simon and Penny Metze.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at the Bannock United Methodist Church in Bannock, Ohio from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 am with Rev. David Powell officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2 pm in North Canton, Ohio at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.

Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
