James Michael “Weiner” Strickland, 61, passed away at home April 15th, 2026. He was born on July 19th, 1964, in Bellaire, OH.

James proudly served his country in the United States Navy, then went on to have a dedicated career at Ormet Aluminum Corporation. He was a Christian by faith and had a passion for being outdoors and in nature, taking long walks and going hiking and fishing.

James was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Strickland, and his stepfather Larry Skidmore.

James is survived by his mother, Margaret J. “Bird” Brice Skidmore; his son Zachary Michael (Katie) Strickland; his brothers Joe Strickland and Al Strickland; his grandson Asher John Strickland; and two nieces Katie Strickland and Kirsten Borton.

Friends and Family will be received at Grandview Christian Church, Clover Ridge, on Saturday April 25th, from 11 A.M. until time of memorial service at 2 P.M., with Pastor Robert Fraley officiating. There will be Full Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
