James F. "Turtle" Vingino, 71, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died October 29, 2021in Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WVa.

He was born January 17, 1950, in Rachel, WVa, a son of the late Domnick and Dorothy Crow Vingino.

Turtle was a former Firefighter and EMT with the Bellaire Fire Dept. for 18 years and an over the road truck driver and a member of St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire. He really enjoyed people and spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Donald Vingino and a sister, Mary Jean Vingino.

James is survived by his two children, Lisa Zorko and James "Mike" (Aimee) Vingino; two grandchildren, Cade and Keara Vingino; long time companion, Kathy Burkhart and her children, Anita Burkhart Usenick and John Burkhart; a nephew, Chris Vingino; and a special buddy, Chase Robison.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Father Dan Heusel officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
