"Ted" Mcgarry

James Edward "Ted" McGarry, 93, of Stewartsville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at his home. He was born November 12, 1930, in Neffs, Ohio, son of the late George Edward McGarry and Evelyn June Ratliff McGarry.
Ted was a retired truck driver for Belmont County Engineering. He was a member of the Glencoe American Legion, Post 632 and Neffs American Legion, Post 77. He enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, tinkering in the garage, and collecting cuckoo clocks. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Agnes (Palmer) McGarry in 2001, his second wife, Janet Carol (Bond) McGarry in 2020; three brothers, William McGarry, Jack McGarry, and Franklin "Vic" McGarry; three sisters, Bertie Lou Colvin, Marlene Jeffers, and Betty June Meager.
Ted is survived by his children, James (Doris) McGarry, Dale McGarry, Susan (Matt) Bond, and Marcia (Dennis) Hurst; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a bonus granddaughter, Easton.
Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 12 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Chaplain Kris Bright officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
