James Ross "Jim" Roberts Jr., 74, of Maynard, Ohio, died April 5, 2025, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.

He was born in Martins Ferry on November 8, 1950, a son of the late James R. Roberts Sr. and Rose Charovano RobertsRidgeley.

Jim was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Maynard Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed fishing, riding trikes and keeping busy.

Jim is survived by his wife, Gery M. Hails Roberts; five children, Melissa, James, Sheila, Randy and Megan; a sister, Wendy; a stepsister, Bonnie; several grandchildren; and best friends, David Dunn and Charlie Shanks.

Honoring Jim's request, there will be no public services. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
