IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James N.
Richmond Sr.
September 15, 1941 – February 1, 2020
James N Richmond, 78 of St Clairsville, fell asleep in death at home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 1, 2020. He was born September 15, 1941, a son of the late Clarence D. Richmond, and Hazel (Marshman) Richmond, in Avella, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna (Anderson) Richmond, daughters Tammie (John) Tyree and Terri (Jeremiah) Gillespie; sons James, Jr. and Jason (Laura), all of St. Clairsville. He is also survived by grandchildren, Alyssa, Jonah, Ashley, Joshua, Madeline, Caoimhe, Mollie, Christopher, Matthew, and Santasia, and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by sister Phyllis (John) Keltz; brothers, Bruce, Dave, Earl and Jerry, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
He was a member of the St. Clairsville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Jim loved farming, and was able to enjoy it for most of his life. He retired from R & F Coal and had several US Mail contracts. His greatest joys were his family and worship of his God Jehovah. He never missed an opportunity to talk to anyone about Jehovah and the encouraging message of the Bible. He will be deeply missed by his family but we know we will see him again soon, "just around the corner."
According to Jim's wishes, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, at the St. Clairsville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM and the service will be at 2:00 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kingdom Hall, P.O. Box 424, Bridgeport, OH 43912.
