James Robert Regal, 66, of Waterford, Ohio, died unexpectedly on January 22, 2020 in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

He was born November 15, 1953 in Skokie, Illinois, the son of the late Robert Webster and Mignon Wiona (Josephsen) Regal.

Jim was a long time business consultant locally in the Parkersburg-Marietta area and recently became the Vice-President of LaRoche Tree Service in Bellaire, Ohio.  He loved working on projects from rebuilding cars, to refinishing houses, to fixing anything that needed fixing. Jim was a long time musician and still spent much of his time playing one of his many guitars.  He was happiest spending time with his wife and German Shepherd on long Sunday drives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Father-in-law, Joseph Francis Staud and his Mother-in-law, Audrey Staud Leech.

Surviving are his loving wife, Caryn A. (Staud) Regal; his only child Dr. Julie Regal (Chris) Gooding of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Jackson Baker Gooding and Elizabeth Cate Gooding; two sisters, Ronna Lindsey and Debbie (Rich) Lovgren both of Pennsylvania; and a brother, Robert (Lynda) Regal of Tennessee as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 31st, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Barlow Vincent Church of Christ, 6429 State Route 339, Vincent, Ohio 45784.
