James Basil "Jim or Jimmy" Pyle, 62 of Pineview 2 Group Home in Belmont, Ohio died Tuesday, January 5, 2010.
He was born February 22, 1947 in New Cumberland, WV, a son of the late James Orion Pyle and Edna Lucas Pyle.
James lived at home until 1983. After various residences he moved to Belmont Habilitation Center in St. Clairsville in 1987. He lived there until 2006 when he moved to the Pineview 2 Group Home where he remained until his death.
He attended Belco Works Workshop for several years and most recently Tomorrow?s Corner Day Program, both in St. Clairsville.
Jimmy had a vivid imagination. He told stories in great detail about hunting grizzly bears, shooting down the enemy from his airplane and he would discuss the war as reported on TV but in a different language, all his own. He enjoyed western memorabilia, cowboys, and John Wayne. He liked to listen and sing-along to John Denver music and other country songs.
Jimmy Pyle had a wonderful personality and many interests. He will be sadly missed by all of his friends.
