James W. McCloud, 76, of Belmont, OH died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital.  He was born December 25, 1944 in Bellaire, OH., a son of the late Chet and Helen Angus McCloud.

James was retired coal miner at Quarto #4 mine in Clarington, OH and a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott McCloud; a brother, Donald McCloud.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Patricia Piper McCloud of Belmont; his children, James L. (Sherri) McCloud and Tanya (Scott) Walter both of Bethesda, OH; siblings, Shirley (Les) Norman of Bethesda, Darlene Sams of NC, Nancy McConnell of Bellaire, Gary (Connie) McCloud of Lewisville, OH; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are required.

Friends will be received on Friday from 10 am until time of service at 12 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Rev. Pete Tuchek, Jr. officiating.  Burial in Warnock Cemetery.
