James Hershel Loy, 81, of Bethesda, Ohio died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Emerald Pointe in Barnesville, Ohio.

He was born August 12, 1937 in Bethesda, a son of the late Hershel Loy and Arlise Shepherd Loy.

Jim was retired owner/operator of James Loy Quality Home Builders, an Angus beef farmer, and member of Bethesda Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Shaw.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Ramsay Loy; three children, Gail (Tom) Passmore of Tennessee, Robbin (James) Mitchell of Illinois, and Bradley (Cynthia) Loy of Bethesda; a sister, Bonnie Spees of Lima, OH; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. with Mark Eikenberry and Barry Peters officiating.

Burial follows in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, OH.
