James A. Loccisano, 73 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at his home.
He was born January 22, 1936 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Domenic and Catherine Loccisano.
He was a retired employee of Nickles Bakery and a U.S. Army veteran and member of St. Clairsville Eagles Aerie 2541.
Jim was the former president of St. Clairsville Junior Sports and played an instrumental role in the acquisition and development of the current Junior Sports Complex. After his term as president he continued to be involved as a team manager and umpire. He also devoted a lot of his time to the care of St. Clairsville?s Memorial Park.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Sue; a brother, Rocco; a sister, Mary Rose Smithson.
Surviving are a son, James M. "Michael" Loccisano of Bellville, Ohio; a daughter, Eva Marie "Cissy" Loccisano of Powhatan Point; his companion, Jo Ellen Robson; brother, Domenick Loccisano of Yorville; sisters, Betty Ann Milan of Simpsonville, SC., and Nancy Raimonde of Rayland, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Aaron, Corey, and Chance; a great grandson, Michael James; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Ron Morgan officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
