James Lee "Jake" Webb, 68, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born December 14, 1948 in Jacobsburg, a son of the late Francis Frederick Webb and Victoria May Thornton Webb.
He was a retired coal miner from North American Coal Company's Number 3 Mine, a Methodist by faith, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Glencoe American Legion and Glencoe Senior Center.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, William "Bud" Webb and Francis "Frank" Webb; sisters, Alice May Kasserman and Mary Jane Saunders.
Surviving are a daughter, Carla R. Webb of the home, stepsons, Bruce "Greg" Reline and Adam Macy; step grandchildren, Gage "Bubby" Reline and Caylee Macy; a sister, Janice Kay Cloyd of Arthur, IL; sisters-in-law, Mary "Peg" McMahon and Brenda Webb; brothers-in-law, Paul Kasserman and William Saunders; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Gerald Blon officiating. Burial follows at Jacobsburg Cemetery.
Military honors will be provided by the Belmont County Veterans Association at graveside.
