James G. Hoblick, 85, of Flushing, Ohio died March 28, 2020 in Emerald Pointe Care Center, Barnesville, Ohio.

He was born September 24, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Steven Hoblick and Anna Kutie Hoblick.

Jim retired as a State Mine Inspector and formerly worked for Consolidation Coal Company. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Cadiz and former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Flushing. He was a member of the UMWA and OPERS.  Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and he was an avid Union Local Jets Supporter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel, David and Larry Hoblick.

Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Lou Ford Hoblick; three children, Julia A. (Robert) Ault, James D. (Sandy) Hoblick and Jeffrey A. (Christine) Hoblick; two sisters, Mary Bethel and Laurel (Gene) Nagle; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his dog and cat.

With everyone's safety in mind, the family will have Private Services held at their convenience with Fr. Fred Kihm officiating.  A public Celebration of Life Service will be announced later.  Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
