Obituary
James Lee Henthorn, 81, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, July 16, 1933, son of the late Robert D. and Pearl Burkett Henthorn.
James was a retired teacher and administrator from Martins Ferry City Schools. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville and a member of the Forester's in Bridgeport and he was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and David Henthorn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Judith Bott Henthorn; his daughter, Kara Lynn (Doug) Reno of Columbus, Ohio; a brother Thomas (Gail) Henthorn of Bridgeport, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Henthorn of Cadiz; five nieces and multiple great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 3:45 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clairsville on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father Thomas Chillog the celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
