James J. Fillon Sr., 80, of Fairpoint, passed on May 17, 2019 at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio.

He was born on May 5, 1939 to the late Chris and Helen Matusek Fillon.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Yvonne Vigoffi Fillon; children, James Jr. (Fran) Fillon, Dawn (Steve) Clo, Timothy (Gabrielle) Fillon and Robert (Sheri) Fillon; 6 grandchildren, Jay, Chantal, Jessica, Melissa, Haley and Savino; 6 great grandchildren, Laila, Chyron, Therron, Tatum, Jaden and Lucas; and 2 sisters, Jeanette Kelly and Mary Ann (Fel) Markoski.

Jim was a retired typesetter and coal miner (29 years).

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday 2 - 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 3:50 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Father Matthew Gossett as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
