James Dwane Lewis, 61, of Pataskala, Ohio died March 15, 2020 in Mount Carmel Hospital East.

He was born November 9, 1958 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of Lena Briggs Lewis and the late James "Pancake" Lewis.

Jim was a Captain and Pilot at Air Transport International and he was an Army veteran.

Surviving are his mother, Lena Lewis; his wife, Lisa Loew Lewis; sister, Brenda (Jim Helmbright) Lewis; brother, Kenny Lewis; children, Cody Lewis, Lori (John) Steadman, Tonya (Jason) Palmer, Jimmy (Kayla) Lewis, Michael (Franki) Weekley, Renee (Mike) Mchar, Chelsey (Zach) Weekley, Kayla (Austin) Ware and adopted son, Brandon Groves; grandchildren, Brittany, Brooke, Jon Jon, Lexi, Chase, Dillon, Tristin, Adrianna, Micha, Trevor, Caden, Kinley and Ronnie; great grandchildren, Chloe, Claira and Lilah; a niece, Jamie Lewis; nephew, Justin Lewis; other nieces and nephews.

With the recommendations from the State and Federal Government, the family understands that there have been limits placed on groups of 50 or more persons. However, there will be visitation and services for their family and close friends.  The visitation will be Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joel Traylor officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Kidney Fund.
