James Bryant Carman, 60, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Park Health Center.  He was born October 5, 1962, in Wheeling, WV., a son of the late Charles and Catherine McGary Carman.

Jim was a former construction worker in plumbing and maintenance.  Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Charles Carman, II; a brother-in-law, David Bartyzel.

Surviving are a daughter, Ashley (Bryan) Scammell of Flushing, OH; a sister, Debra Bartyzel of St. Clairsville; two grandchildren, Aidyn James and Brynnlee Shae; a niece, Tonya Bartyzel; a nephew, Michael Bartyzel.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-5 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Pastor Maggie Hoder officiating.  Final arrangements are at the convenience of the family.
