James Joseph Bruno, 81, of Kinsman, Ohio died Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.
He was born January 8, 1937 in Kinsman, Ohio, son of the late Frank Joseph Bruno and Julia Pramik Bruno.
Jim retired after 42 years with Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel's Martins Ferry Plant and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville and former member of St. Stanislaus Church in Maynard. He was a member of Fairpoint Polish Club, Maynard PNA and St. Clairsville Alumni Association. Jim had been a baseball coach for Maynard Little League for 12 years and a softball coach for St. Clairsville for 8 years.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Hightower and Velma Straka; and a brother, Henry Bruno.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Frances Fabjan Bruno; four sons, Ken (Josie) Bruno of Houston, Texas, Rick Bruno of Chardon, Ohio, Mike Bruno of Sagamore Hills, Ohio and Don Bruno of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a daughter, Renee (Chris) Carter of Chardon, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Catherine, Michaela, Alex, Samantha, Jessica, Ally, Christopher, Julia, Stephen and Catherine; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a PNA Service and a Vigil Service beginning at 3:10 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville on Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Central School.
