Jacqueline Jean Stein Nester, 45, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2021.  She was born May 6, 1976 in Clarion, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of Mark Stein and Ardis Abati Stein.  She spent most of her childhood in New Kensington, Pennsylvania until her family moved to Piedmont, Ohio when she was a teenager.

During her high school years, Jackie attended Barnesville High School where she excelled as a student athlete and her bright personality made her a favorite of classmates and teachers alike.  She was always very proud to be a Barnesville Shamrock. After high school and true to her compassionate nature, she attended Belmont Technical College where she obtained a degree as a registered nurse.  Because of her strong concern for the frail and elderly, Jackie devoted most of her nursing career working in the field of home health and nursing homes.  Most recently, she worked as a nursing supervisor at Astoria Place in Barnesville where she so enjoyed all of her patients and co-workers.

In all of Jackie's many fine accomplishments, she will most be remembered for her shining personality, her contagious smile and her zest and joy for life.  She was always ready and eager to celebrate whatever the occasion might be.  Although her life was curtailed too short as many bright stars do, her light will shine on forever in the hearts of her family and many, many friends.

Jackie was preceded to heaven by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Aureola Stein, and her maternal grandparents, William and Jean Abati.

In addition to her parents and a large extended family, Jackie is survived and will be deeply missed by her three daughters – Kamron, Casey and Emily Chervenak.  She also is survived and will be sadly missed by her husband, Todd Nester and his daughter, Jessica Gibson.  Other family members who will miss Jackie very much are her brother, Ivan Stein of Copley, Ohio, and his wife Missy and their sons Jacob and Jonathan.  Lastly, Jackie was an animal lover and leaves behind her three favorite dogs – Ivory, Sophie and Precious.

Calling hours for Jackie will take place on Monday, November 22 ^nd at the Toothman Funeral Home, 141 S. Marietta St., St. Clairsville, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  On Tuesday, November 23 ^rd , there will be a service at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 212 W. Main St., St. Clairsville, Ohio.  Burial will follow the mass at the Holly Memorial Gardens, 73360 Pleasant Grove Rd., Colerain, Ohio.

Jackie's charity of choice would be the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
