Jacqueline "Jackie" Martin Loos-Foster quietly passed away on May 3, 2022, just 17 days shy of her 88 th birthday. She was born May 20, 1934, in Markle, IN., to the late Galen C. Martin and Mary Jane Harvey Martin.
Jackie graduated from Steubenville "Big Red" High School and from the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing and worked at Ohio Valley General Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She later worked at the family business, Loos Pharmacy, Montgomery Wards and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clark Martin and a sister, Carole Martin.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas E. Foster of Wheeling; her children, Kim (Paul) Shutway of Flushing, OH., Erin Tracy of Columbus, OH and Richard (Kathy) Loos of New Albany, OH; stepchildren, Doug Foster of Dover, OH and Lisa Nero of Canton, OH; grandchildren, Chelsea Conley, Emily Shutway, Lauren (Geoff) Kunkler, Nathan, Grant and Olivia Loos; great-grandchildren, Nora Kunkler and Liam Shutway; siblings, Eric Martin, Brewster (Nancy) Martin and Gordon (Cathy) Martin all of St. Clairsville, OH., many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-4 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with burial at the convenience of the family.
Jackie was and ever-present mother who loved her children unconditionally and instilled in them the values and traditions that they carry today. She was so proud of her family, was always there for them and her hugs were legendary. She will be so missed.
