Lantz, John D. "Jack", 70 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

He was born at St. Clairsville a son of Geraldine Weekley Lantz of St. Clairsville and the late John H. Lantz.

Jack was a retired employee of the former International Harvester plant at Shadyside, a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church at St. Clairsville, Belmont Lodge #16 F.& A.M. at St. Clairsville, Osiris Shrine of Wheeling and the Scottish Rite Bodies of Steubenville.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Jack is survived by his wife Hilda Shirbish Lantz; a son John Wayne Lantz of Pittsburgh, Pa; daughters Barbara (Mike) Hennis of Columbus, OH and Ann (Patrick) Heischman of Grove City, OH; his mother Geraldine Lantz of St. Clairsville; a sister Sue (Bill) Ralston of Geneva, Ill.; grandsons Zachary and Tyler Heischman and John Hennis; an uncle John Weekley of Spring City, TN and a nephew, Will Ralston of Abingdon, MD.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Doctor Bradley Call officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Assoc. or the Thoburn Church Building Fund.
