Iris G. Beaver, 84, of St. Clairsville went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born August 26, 1934, a daughter of the late Talmadge and Opal Buck Craig.

Iris retired after 24 years as a dispatcher for the city of St. Clairsville. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #159 and a member of the Eagles Aerie # 2541 both in St. Clairsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Sherman D. "Captain Bill" Beaver Sr.; a step-daughter, Sharon; and a brother, Peyton Craig.

Surviving are a son, Sherman "Bill" (Marla) Beaver Jr., three daughters, Phoebe (Ken) Ramsay, Eva (Scott) Golec and Jody Woods, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and special niece and nephew, Debbie and Dan Davis.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Clairsville American Legion Post 159 on Saturday, September 29, 2018 beginning at 1 p.m. followed by a dinner. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
