Irene Stern, 95 of Belmont, Ohio died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born October 3, 1909 at Endicott, West Virginia a daughter of the late Joseph Asbury Crow and Estella Florence Masters Crow.

Irene was a retired farmer and a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joel Sidney Stern and a sister Thelma Finnicum.

Surviving are her son Joel Loren Stern and his wife Ellen of Belmont; her daughter Linda Hill of Marengo, Ohio; grandchildren Carleen (Dale) Wayble, Darlene Barton, Julie Miller (Rob) Howells, Darla Lynn (Dale) Clinedinst and great grandchildren Patrick Barton, Nicky and Jessica Ryniawec, Sidney and Grayson Howells, Dana Lauren Clinedinst, Tiffany Clinedinst and Courtney Clinedinst.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery, Centerville.
