She was born March 31, 1927 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Felix Glazeski and Sophie Putinsky Glazeski.

Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a member of Jacobsburg Bible Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hess; her son, Tom Hess; a grandson, Rob Visnic and two sisters, Naomi West and Monica Murabito.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen (Vern) Hammond of Jacobsburg; grandchildren, Melissa Visnic, Brian (Melissa) Hammond, John David Hess and Mark Hess; great grandchildren, Ashley and Jacob Visnic, Austin and Abigail Hammond, Riley and Damon Hess and Mackenzie Hess and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Powhatan Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio.
