BUMGARNER, Irene M., 94, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at her home.
She was born in St. Clairsville on February 18, 1918, daughter of the late Clark Check and Rose Ella Weir Check.
Irene was a homemaker, a retired waitress and a member of First Christian Church in St. Clairsville. She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, the Belmont County Extension and St. Clairsville Alumni Association.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Albert Bumgarner; a brother, Ross Weir; and two grandsons, Michael and William Bumgarner Jr.
She is survived by seven children, William (Michele) Bumgarner of Chandler, Arizona, Olive Jane Jones of St. Clairsville, Kim (Lorraine) Bumgarner of Uniontown, Jenny (Brian) Henderson of Bremerton, Washington, George Albert Bumgarner Jr. of St. Clairsville, Glen Allen Bumgarner of Florida and Janet A. (Jeremy) Bumgarner Riggle of Cincinnati, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
