Obituary
Ingrid Funkhouser, 78, of Belmont, Ohio, died February 15, 2018 in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
She was born March 22, 1939 in Berlin, Germany, daughter of the late Gunther and Herta Hensel.
Ingrid was a retired employee from the State Hospital in Cambridge and former employee of NCR.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Sprungala.
Surviving are her husband, Carl E. Funkhouser Sr.; her daughter, Donna Key of Cambridge; three stepsons, Carl (Cindy) Funkhouser Jr. of Belmont, Jim (Kathy) Funkhouser of Pittsburgh and Jerry (Bonnie) Funkhouser of St. Clairsville; three step grandchildren, Carl "Ernie" Funkhouser III, Kyle Funkhouser and Ashley Funkhouser; her caregiver, Heather Berry; her two dogs, Gizmo and Imma and her cat, Angel.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter.
