Howard Everett "Boo" Stoner Sr., 69, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, August 15, 2025, in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born September 2, 1955, in Barnesville, Ohio, a son of the late Howard Eugene Stoner and Wanda May Carpenter Stoner.

Howard was a heavy equipment operator with the Belmont County Engineering Department. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball, playing guitar and singing. Recently, he mostly just enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Becky Stoner and Tina Wigand.

Boo is survived by his wife, Brenda Heath Stoner; three children, Howard (Rebecca) Stoner Jr., April (Jeff) Azallion and Robert (Megan) Stoner; a sister, Betty Edwards; and five grandchildren, Dakota Stoner, Kyle Stoner, Kalleigh Stoner, Austin Stoner and Aiden Azallion; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from Noon until time of funeral at 2 p.m., with Pastor Scott Black officiating. The burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery .
