Obituary

William Howard "Tojo" Jeffers, 68 of Glencoe, Ohio died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born September 25, 1938 in Glencoe, son of the late Joe and Pauline Hollida Jeffers.

Howard was a retired employee of Ormet Corporation, an avid bowler and golfer, a member of the Flushing Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Past Master of Weyer Lodge # 541 F&AM in Centerville where he also served as treasurer for 22 years, and was a member of the Promise Keepers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Bob Jeffers.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Helsley Jeffers; four children, Sheila Junkins of Clarksburg, Ohio., Pam (Dean) Kresak of St. Clairsville, Susan (Steve) Hall of Warnock, and Bill Jeffers of Glencoe; five brothers, Richard of Indiana, Roger of New Paris, Ohio., Jim of Glencoe, Frank of Bethesda, and Dave of Mississippi; three sisters, Pauline Ross of St. Clairsville, Marilyn Holland of Martins Ferry, and Elaine McClaren of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Cammie Hanson, Bethany Layman, Jessica and Kahley Jeffers, Cody Hall; two great grandchildren, Brandon Brooks and Nathan Layman.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dean Lancaster and Rev. Tom Badanjek officiating. Burial follows in Glencoe Cemetery.

Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
