Funkhouser, Howard L., 70, of Glencoe, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at his home.
He was born in Bellaire on July 21, 1939, son of the late Howard C. and Lela Bandonee Funkhouser.
Howard was a retired co-owner and operator of Funkhouser Brothers Construction.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Timothy Bell.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Viola Bell Funkhouser; his children, Amy (Rich) Pugh of Bellaire and Brian L. Funkhouser at home; two sisters, Norma Jean Myers of St. Clairsville and Linda Sabo of South Carolina; a brother, David Funkhouser of Warnock; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Gerald Blon officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
