Obituary
Herbert Franklin Kirkpatrick, 61, of St. Clairsville, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in Forest Hill Nursing Home.
He was born June 7, 1954 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Frank Edward Kirkpatrick and Irene Augusta Wilson Kirkpatrick.
Herb was an employee of the Belmont County Building and Grounds Department. He was a U. S. Army Veteran; a member of the American Legion Post 159 in St. Clairsville and the Cave Club in Wheeling. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Kirkpatrick.
Surviving are his children, Vinnie (Nicole Perez) Kirkpatrick of Tappan Lake and Kayla Kirkpatrick (David) Beegle of Glen Dale, WV; his life partner, Susie Phillips of St. Clairsville; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, Eric Kirkpatrick, Skylar Perez, Shayna Beegle and Georgia Beegle; two brothers, Donald "Squirrel" Kirkpatrick of Bridgeport and Paul Kirkpatrick of Maynard; a sister, Ruth Ann Rice of St. Clairsville; his former wife, Leslie Tartler; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from Noon until time of Service at 2 p.m. with Full Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post 159.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 159.
