Jordan, Herbert "Allan", 85 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born February 10, 1925 in Flushing, Ohio, a son of the late Samuel David Jordan and Emma Clare Millward Jordan.
Allan was a retired electrical engineer from RCA, a member of the Flushing Alliance Church, an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII, member of St. Clairsville American Legion Post 159, and VFW Post 5359 in St. Clairsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, George, Donald, Charles, John, David, and Paul Jordan; four sisters, Mary Carter, Lucy Wilson, Martha Jordan, and Emma Hollingsworth.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Kathryn Mary "Kay" Ostojich Jordan; two sons, Raymond Dennis (Christina) Jordan of East Windsor, NJ, and Lyndley Jordan of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Helen Hollingsworth of Dubois, PA; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dean Lancaster officiating. Burial follows in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct full military honors at 10:45 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
