Henry Rennard Morgan Jr. 79, of St. Clairsville, died May 2, 2015 at Liza's Place in Wheeling.
He was born on his family's farm on July 12, 1935 in Provident, Ohio, son of the late Henry Rennard Morgan Sr. and Minnie Frances Radulovich Morgan.
He was preceded in death by "The love of my life", his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Bee Murphy Morgan.
Henry was retired from International Harvester / Navistar. He was a lifelong member of Calvary Presbyterian Church; a 1953 graduate of St. Clairsville High School; and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the security division of the United States Army. He was a past instructor of Judo at the YMCA in Wheeling. Henry believed in volunteering and giving back to the community. He was a member of the Saints Club; the former St. Clairsville Lions Club; Past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5356; Past Commander of the American Legion Post 159 and a lifetime member of the St. Clairsville High School Alumni Association.
In addition to his cherished wife and parents, Henry was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Daniel Morgan in 1968; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Louise Murphy Zwicker in 2001; and a brother-in-law, Charles E. Timberlake in 2011.
Henry was a loving and generous husband, father and grandfather and was loved and adored by his family. He is survived by six children, Douglas Lewis Morgan of Tonga, Daniel Scott (Liz) Morgan of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Bryan Bradley Morgan of Weirton, West Virginia, Melinda Marie (Jeffrey) Morgan Brothers of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Nolan Henry Morgan of St. Clairsville and Clinton Ryan Morgan of St. Clairsville; seven grandchildren; a sister, Nancy K. Morgan Timberlake of Bellville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ann (Charles) DeMark of Chesapeake, Virginia; several loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville with Full Military Honors provided by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
