Helen Louise Tarbet, 86, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Select Specialty Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.

She was born in Pipe Creek, Ohio on May 10, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph Maurice Harvey and Sarah Hazel Ramsay Harvey.

Helen was a graduate of Ohio University. She was a retired public school teacher, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry. Helen enjoyed gardening and was an avid walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Ellen Yardley.

Surviving are her husband, Marvin R. Tarbet, two nephews, John and William Yardley and a great niece, Emilie Yardley.

Honoring Helen's wishes, there will be no public services. She will be buried in Mt. William Greenwood Cemetery in Key, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg.
