Obituary

Helen Marie Palmer Powell, 95, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died February 1, 2021 at her home.

She was born May 25, 1925 in Powhatan Point, Ohio, a daughter of the late William French May and Lucy Rebecca Bennett May.

Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Raymond Palmer; second husband, William Judy Powell; three sons, Carl Edward Palmer, Carlos Anthony Palmer, and Murven Eugene Palmer Sr.; two brothers, Albert and Herbert May; and three sisters, Edna Palmer, Bertha Palmer, and Myrtle Palmer.

Surviving are six sons, Roger Palmer, William Palmer, Paul Palmer, Greg Palmer, Robert Palmer, and David Palmer; five daughters, Norma Tucker, Patty Wallace, Marcia Arn, Sarah Arn, and Melissa Palmer; three brothers, Bill May, Joe May, and Arthur "Huck" May; two sisters, Ethel Bier and Betty Lou Sheets; 26 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great grandchild.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Private Services will be held at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg.  Burial will be in Powhatan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to assist the family.
