Helen M. Parsons, 83 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.

She was born April 28, 1924 in Union Township, Ohio, a daughter of the late Paul Brown and Mary Lovy Brown.

Helen was a former employee of Elby?s Restaurant in St. Clairsville and JC Penney in St. Clairsville, and a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Lafferty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Auvil Parsons, Sr.; and a brother, Jim Brown.

Surviving are three sons, Auvil (Sharon) Parsons, Jr. of St. Clairsville, Gary Parsons of Adena, and Randy (Laura) Parsons of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a sister, Betty King of Casa Grande, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Shayna Parsons, Scott Parsons, Josh Parsons, Auvil Parsons III, and Beth Parsons Tomason; 3 great grandchildren, Arden, Noah, and Evan.

A private service will be held at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Father Frederick Kihm officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
