Helen Kuthy, 86 of St. Clairsville died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Forest Hill Retirement Center in St. Clairsville.
She was born December 18, 1920 in Lamira, Ohio, a daughter of the late John Skolnik and Anna Smelko Skolnik.
Helen was the former bookkeeper for Kuthy Builders and former employee of the Belmont County Sanatorium. A member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, Catholic Daughters, Catholic Women?s Club, St. Francis Society and the Slovak Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kuthy; sisters, Mary Nickerson and Anna Hrenko; brothers, Joe, John and Charles Skolnik.
Surviving are three sons, William J. (Vicki) Kuthy of St. Clairsville, Joseph E. Kuthy of St. Clairsville, and Paul E. (Kim) Kuthy of Belmont; a daughter, Mary Ann (Terry) Wright of St. Clairsville; 3 grandchildren, B.J. Kuthy, Kristi Sue Polone, and SRA Bradley Paul Kuthy; 3 great grandchildren, Zane, Hunter, and Dustin; 2 step grandchildren, Marty and Mark Cline; 4 step great grandchildren, Mitchell, Shayonna, Wyatt, and Jack.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville with Father Thomas Chillog the celebrant. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
A vigil service will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
